This American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR and AED course was the first in the nation to combine hands-on AED instruction with CPR training. The course teaches the basic techniques of adult, child, and infant CPR and use of an AED.
The Heartsaver CPR and AED Course teaches rescuers to effectively recognize and treat adult emergencies in the critical first minutes until emergency medical services personnel arrive. The course also provides a complete health and safety training solution for choking, adult, child, and Infant CPR, and AED.
The course teaches how to recognize the signs of three major emergencies:
- Heart Attack
- Stroke
- Choking

Course Length: Approximately 1.5 – 2.5 hours
Certification: American Heart Association 2 Year Certification

All lay responders with a duty to respond, such as employees in the workplace, firefighters, police, airline personnel, security guards, teachers, massage therapists, personal trainers, lifeguards, childcare providers, family members of patients at high risk for sudden cardiac death, and other lay rescuers who may need to respond to a cardiac emergency and learn how to use an AED.
